The National Transportation Safety Board is now investigating the unfortunate subway train derailment that injured 20 people in Washington, D.C. yesterday.

The District of Columbia recently passed "anti-runner" legislation so lawyers and their employees should (unless asked by a victim) not be contacting victims of this subway accident directly.

Unfortunately,

this means that the insurance company investigators will have the first personal contact with folks who have been injured.

That may or may not be good and the injured may not need an attorney but they should get some good information before hiring an attorney or dealing with the insurance company alone.

For those who will be looking for an attorney, they may want to look at The Truth About Lawyer Advertising, which is freely available to victims and their families.
