Emergency rooms are typically the places in hospitals which are the most crowded, but drastically understaffed. This can lead to instances of medical malpractice due to any of the following:

· Patients not being properly monitored

· Diagnoses that are incorrect

· Diagnoses that are too late

· Incorrect or inappropriate treatment

· Inappropriate doses administered

· Errors in lab tests

· Over dosage

Approximately 50 percent of all cases of negligence in emergency rooms end up as cases of medical malpractice. Every patient who ends up with major health issues through medical negligence deserves rightful compensation.
