There is a great editorial in the Roanoke Times that really hits the nail on the head in proving how Virginia's cap on malpractice damages does nothing for insurance premiums but practically guarantees that the most seriously injured will need public assistance at some time.


The Virginia Supreme Court has declined over and over to get into this battle. It's time that the General Assembly work to abolish the cap. Doctors and patients ought to really be challenging the insurance industry's notion that caps are a good thing in Virginia.
